Raffie Davtian is a media, and visual artist, teacher at the plastic arts department of the Kargah Honar art collage. He is also member of the Art and Culture Study Laboratory ACSL established in Yerevan, Armenia. His work can be defined as experimental creative research between disciplines, and traditional art practices, which he develops through body visual gestures and movements as a biological resistance versus it limitation performs via sovereign in modern area In his 2007 Human doors project he presented an installation and video art to indicate, political integration paradoxical development between ethnologic governments in Mideast and Caucasus regions.

In the Sharjah 10th art biennale he participated with Susanna Gulamirian and presented The Possibility of The Angel art project, influenced of G. Agamben modern definition of “Homo sacker”, the project also indicate the relation between power and religion, as a source of legitimization.

He teacher position is a part of his practice on “education as an art praxis” project which is open form practice until now. 

Raffie Davtian has exhibited his works in 4 solo exhibitions over 18 group shows, and 4 review and gave 2 invited talks in the last decade. He is recipient of grants commissions and awards including the 2004 photo international awards in USA.

He holds a MA from the Yerevan Academy of Fine Arts, and member of the Iranian sculptor society.
